In today's IT world, cross-functional teams are expected to quickly deliver business value with the right quality. TMAP® supports this new way of working on “built-in quality” that goes beyond testing only.

Conducting QA and testing activities in an organization requires a wide range of knowledge and skills. This training trains professionals in these operational activities.

This training is based on the book “Quality for DevOps teams” and the TMAP® body-of-knowledge on www.tmap.net.

What will you learn?

During this training you (who usually fulfill one or more roles in a cross-functional team) will gain knowledge and practical experience including the following QA & test topics:

• IT delivery models (incl. DevOps and Scrum)
• The VOICE model for realizing business value through IT delivery
• CI / CD pipeline and tooling
• QA and test topics, such as:
  • quality risk analysis & test strategy
  • acceptance criteria
  • review
  • test data management
  • test execution, investigation and evaluation of results
  • monitoring & control
  • reporting & “alerting”
  • infrastructure & tooling
• Quality measures, such as Specification by Example, Feature toggles
• Test design entities relationships
• Test design: Data combination testing, State transition testing, Semantic testing
• Experience based testing and the value of unstructured testing

What are you going to do?

The training allows you to gain experience with these topics through short introductions followed by relevant exercises and leaves plenty of room for sharing experiences between the participants.

Who is this training suitable for?

This training is for all people who work in or with high-performance IT delivery teams (such as DevOps and Scrum) who are responsible for or heavily involved in quality engineering such as QA professionals, testers and administrators. Other relevant roles are business analysts, product owners, developers, users, scrum masters, agile coaches, release train engineers, etc.

What prior knowledge do you need?

This training requires basic knowledge about information technology, working in teams and an Agile way of working. No specific certifications are required, but we strongly recommend that you first obtain the certificate “TMAP: Quality for cross-functional teams” .

Can you take the exam?

The exam “TMAP®: High-performance quality engineering” contains 40 questions and takes 1.5 hours. The exam of €235.00 is part of the course price. Any discount does not apply to exam costs. If you want order a re-exam, you can do so here.
