Boost your career with Rapid Software Testing (RST), the context-driven methodology that helps you test software products effectively and efficiently. This dynamic training provides you with the tools and knowledge to take your testing skills to the next level, regardless of your experience.

Rapid Software Testing focuses on how to instantly test a product under uncertain conditions in a way that will stand the test of time. Find important bugs before it's too late and learn to think and talk like a testing expert so you can move forward with confidence and gain the credibility you need.

Discover the power of Rapid Software Testing, a pioneering methodology for testing any software product. Learn how to think critically, apply heuristic models, and test responsibly and systematically. Target business risks and perform the in-depth testing your project needs.

What will you learn?

During this training the following topics will be covered:

  • What Rapid Software Testing is and how it relates to software development
  • Agency and what is expected of a responsible tester
  • In what way mental models and critical thinking are the basis of testing
  • Dealing with complexity
  • Recognizing problems despite ambiguous or missing specifications
  • Performing a product analysis in preparation for testing
  • Test design based on heuristics, risks, procedures, coverage & intensity, oracles
  • Tools to test better and faster
  • Analyze and report test results with storytelling
  • The Heuristic Test Strategy Model and other specific heuristics
  • How to ensure maximum testability
  • Concise test documentation and the use of mind maps

After completing the Rapid Software Testing training, participants will be able to:

  • Indicate where their improvement potential lies
  • Identify the attitude and behaviour of a responsible tester
  • Apply heuristics
  • Deal with complexity
  • Apply practical product analysis, risk analysis and test strategy
  • Report using storytelling

What are you going to do?

RST is taught using a Socrates method, with exercises, discussions and illustrations of the RST methodology. Participants' questions and specific needs will be addressed. We all learn from the unique perspective each participant brings to the group.

Through hands-on activities and interactive discussions, we challenge assumptions and expose common misconceptions about software testing.

The most important parts of the training are the exercises and their debriefs. We work with experiential learning, which means that we first do an exercise, then have an extensive debrief, and only then go deeper into the topic. In addition, there is plenty of room for discussion and interaction. The participants set the agenda. The more the participants interact, the better and more in-depth the training will be.

Who is this training suitable for?

This training is suitable for anyone involved in testing (test engineers, test automators, quality engineers, developers, administrators, agile coaches, scrum masters, etc.).

Whether you are new to testing or an experienced tester, this training will definitely help you move forward. Beginners, we introduce you to professional testing and provide exercises that will help you develop your natural testing talents. Experienced testers, we help you put into words the implicit skills you've acquired over time and offer exercises that help you refine them.

What prior knowledge do you need?

For this training no specific prior knowledge is required.

It is recommended that you read some articles beforehand and think about your learning goals.
