At Cardan Technobility they strive to ensure that everyone can participate online. Regardless of age, location, origin, belief or disability. Our goal is digital inclusion and we ensure this with digital accessibility. As the specialist in digital accessibility, our partner Cardan is happy to help you.
What is digital accessibility?
By digital accessibility we mean that websites, apps and other online content are built and designed in such a way that they are more accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. The aim is to ensure that everyone can access online information and services. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
A large number of people experience problems when they want to use online services. For example, if a website cannot be operated with a keyboard, videos are not subtitled or texts have too low color contrast. To better regulate this, international guidelines have been drawn up, namely the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). When we make websites and apps digitally accessible, we use these guidelines as a starting point.
The Sogeti Academy works together with Cardan to draw attention to digital accessibility and train people in it.
In-company training
Our in-company training courses can be booked on location or online. They can usually be scheduled from Monday to Thursday. An in-company training is possible from 4 participants in the same training.
Blended learning through open enrollment
Our training agenda makes it possible to participate individually in all our training courses. These training courses consist of self-study via our learning environment and 1 or 2 classroom meetings.
E-learning
There is increasing demand for e-learning in which students can study theory in their own time and pace. We also think it is important to offer participants the opportunity to ask questions to a specialist. That is why we combine our e-learning courses with a classroom meeting. This can be booked optionally. These practical meetings last a maximum of 3 hours and are a kind of 'consultation hour' with one of our specialists.
Basic training to become a WCAG specialist
This 9-week training differs slightly from our other training courses. It takes longer and we also ask more time from the participants. Take into account an average study time of 8 hours per week.
Recognizable examples from practice
In all our training courses we work as much as possible with recognizable examples provided by the participants themselves. After all, this is where you learn the most. During our in-company and blended learning training courses, we therefore always have a moment in which we discuss the learning objectives of the group / participant.
Certificate of participation
After in-company and blended learning training, participants receive proof of participation. This shows that the participant has taken part in the training.
Exam and certificate
If desired, the training can also be concluded with an exam. This exam consists of a theory and practical part. The exam is planned with the participant and can be completed from their own workplace.
After successfully completing the exam, the participant receives a certificate demonstrating that the participant has sufficiently mastered the theory and practice of the subject.
